Its already March and as I look out the window whilst working on another project, I can see the lovely yellow flowers of my forsythia and the first evidence of spring is starting to show. At the sametime, I wonder where the last few weeks have gone!
The first few weeks of the year saw a flurry of new sites going live and I was busy ensuring sufficient training and back up was provided for my clients.
I always like to ensure that clients are confident with maintaining their own site and will provide as much support as necessary when as an Administrator you start to take possession of your own content. There is a sense of excitement as you realise you can start putting your own information on your pages and start to develop the amount of content available. With Modx as a content management system, site administrators have tremendous flexibility in what they can do, whether its simply editing content, adding more pages, building galleries or writing blogs. The back end layout is familiar as the layout resembles a 'traditonal' folder style heirarchy seen on many operating systems from PCs to Macs. And with a user manual to help its easy to match the back end layout with the front end website.
With 5 sites going live in the last few weeks, each and every site administrator has received the same detailed information and high level of support. Whilst some quickly grasp the basics and going forward, others require a longer period of assistance. Whatever, the requirement I am more than willing to assist.
You can see these new sites in my portfolio.
Until next time.
